Job brief:

We are looking for a Web Developer to be responsible for the coding, innovative design, and layout of our websites. The developer should have 5+ years’ experience in software development. During his/her past experience he/she should have Developed and maintained applications and interfaces in PHP, JavaScript, jQuery, XHTML, CSS3, SASS, Angular JS.

Web Developer Job Duties:

Web developer responsibilities include building our websites from concept all the way to completion from the bottom up, fashioning everything from the home page to site layout and function.

Responsibilities:

• Write well designed, testable, efficient code by using best software development practices
• Create website layout/user interface by using standard HTML/CSS practices
• Create Website banners and all other graphics based items
• Integrate data from various back-end services and databases
• Gather and refine specifications and requirements based on technical needs
• Create and maintain software documentation
• Be responsible for maintaining, expanding, and scaling our site
• Stay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply them into operations and activities
• Cooperate with web designers to match visual design intent.

Requirements:

• Knowledge of E-Commerce code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fall-back components.
• Develop new user-facing features.
• Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
• Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
• Optimise applications for maximum speed and scalability.
• Collaborate with other team members.
• Evaluating requirements, specifications, and code – analysis, problem definition & solution development.
• Presenting ideas, solutions, and methodologies to the team.
• Experience with Git version control system.
• Proven working experience in web programming
• Top-notch programming skills and in-depth knowledge of modern HTML/CSS.
• Familiarity with the following programming languages: PHP and JavaScript / jQuerry.
• A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices
• Adequate knowledge of database systems, Object Oriented Programming, and web application development
• Basic knowledge of Search Engine Optimization process
• Aggressive problem diagnosis and creative problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple tasks within the constraints of timelines and budgets.
• Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
• BS in computer science or a related field

Experience/Technical Skills

• 3 years’ experience in e-Commerce preferred.
• HTML5, CSS and Responsive Web Design.
• SEO Knowledge. Tags implementation.
• Minimum 5 years PhP Development Experience.
• 3 years’ theming experience required, JavaScript / jQuery, XML.
• Experience with frameworks and UI libraries such as jQuery.
